I haven’t quite felt like my self lately. Oscillating between over-compressed and over-stretched, my center has become a moving target that I simply cannot land on. My toes are there, skimming the ground, chasing the bullseye. But with all this tiptoeing I seem to have only tipped myself further out of balance.
Maybe you can relate.
Sometimes imbalance is simple to correct. If you’re shaky standing on one leg, place both feet on the floor. But how do we even begin to remedy a deeper imbalance – the fatigue that tugs us towards depression, the dimming of inspiration, the evaporation of self?
I took a note from Joni Mitchell, whose words landed in my head like a seed ready to take root. We have got to get ourselves back to the garden.
Back to our own true nature, and back to mother nature.
